Super Dry 719 Aluminum Oxide Polish for Acrylics (5 Kilogram Pail)

Unlike cerium oxide, aluminum oxide (alumina) polishes by mechanical action only, Alumina particles are tough (fused or "alpha" type) and can be used to polish a variety of materials. Polishing alumina usually consists of "ultimate" particles.  During the polishing cycle, the particles usually become imbedded into the polishing pad, exposing on the tips of the alumina to act upon the surface being polished.  They generally do not break down during use.

719 is an alumina based polishing compound in a dry powder form.  This high-purity alumina features a relatively small average particle size, approximately 3.0 micron, that is capable of producing an optically clear finish on acrylics and other hard plastics as well as ophthalmic lenses (CR-39 and polycarbonate).
