Alox 721 Aluminum Oxide Polish (10 Kilogram Pail)

Unlike cerium oxide, aluminum oxide (alumina) polishes by mechanical action only, Alumina particles are tough (fused or "alpha" type) and can be used to polish a variety of materials. Polishing alumina usually consists of "ultimate" particles.  During the polishing cycle, the particles usually become imbedded into the polishing pad, exposing on the tips of the alumina to act upon the surface being polished.  They generally do not break down during use.

Alox 721 is a high purity, precision grade alumina polishing powder.  Strictly controlled particle size and distribution makes this polish a good choice for use on a wide range of materials from infrared optics and Nd/YAG laser rods to Beryllium as well as contact lenses.
